Job Description:

Job Summary:

Pirc Tobin Construction is seeking a fulltime Estimator to organize, manage and plan complex projects. Additionally, this individual will collect and analyze information to estimate costs of services and potential jobs.  On top of being a self starter with excellent organizational, time management and decision making skills, the ideal candidate must exemplify our five core values:

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create cost structures for review and estimate the cost of new and proposed services in the assigned departments, areas or projects
  • Analyze changes to the products and services provided
  • Gather accounting documentation such as financial statements and journal entries
  • Provide detailed reports that will include breakdowns of project costs and forecasts of remaining costs
  • Document data and statistical procedures used in conducting cost analysis
  • Bring any leads to estimating lead to follow up on with potential clients
  • Assists in preparation of the annual budget to determine standard cost
  • Project Manager duties as assigned, or as needed
  • Reports to project site on time, maintain good attendance when reporting to work
  • Other duties as assigned

 Experience Requirements:

  • 5 years of related experience required
  • Excellent analytical skills and a thorough understanding of cost accounting principles & procedures
  • Motivated, team oriented individual with positive attitude & leadership traits
  • Capable of learning, listening and following directions as needed
  • Strong communication skills, both professional and interpersonal with team members and management team
  • The ability to work daily and extended hours as necessary
  • The ability to work both independently and within a team
  • A responsible, organized and detail oriented mindset
  • Refined time management skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills

 Education & Training Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or another related field preferred
  • Minimum of 10-hour OSHA training course
  • Competent person/trench safety/confined space training
  • Gas powered cut-off saw training
  • Traffic control technician training
  • First Aid/CPR training
