Job Description:

Portzen Construction/Dubuque Plumbing and Heating is currently searching for a VDC Coordinator.  Portzen Construction/Dubuque Plumbing and Heating is located in Dubuque, Iowa. 

The VDC Coordinator is responsible for the BIM design of construction systems

DUTIES & SCOPE:

• BIM modeling of construction systems.
• Collaborate and Coordinate with other disciplines by VDC coordination meeting attendance.
• Understand BIM scope of work.
• Prepare model content for VDC coordination meetings.
• Creation of shop drawings to provide to the field.
• Maintain a high level of verbal and written communication skills.
• Understand single line diagrams and construction drawings.
• Potential field site visits with a possibility to be stationed on a project site.
• Work with the Superintendents and Field personnel to understand installation means and methods.
• Provide top service to our clients with consistent and concise communication.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3-5 years of BIM experience
• Knowledge of Autodesk production software (Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Point Layout, BIM 360).
• Dedication to learning, expanding knowledge and continuous improvement.
• Superior organizational and communication skills.
• Problem solving, acceptance of responsibility, and work ethic.
• Able to work with teams, supervisors and direct reports.
• Motivation to complete tasks on time and on budget.
• Mechanical Systems background preferred but not a requirement.
