Job Description:

Ball Team, LLC is currently seeking a Project Engineer for the Des Moines area.  This individual will coordinate project activities with guidance from Project Manager; performs accounting duties, performs estimating functions; proposal writing, developing budgets, interacting with design and project team personnel and owners; scheduling; writing contracts and sub-contracts.  Ball Team needs someone who is accurate and able to handle all facets of their work without letting the details slip through the cracks.  The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, organization and scheduling skills.  Familiarity with Sage, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office products desired.  If you value an employer who provides full training, competent leadership, and will reward your accuracy and loyalty we want to talk to you.  Ball Team offers a competitive salary, complete benefits package and relocation package.  Submit resume/salary history to:

Required Experience:

B.S. in Construction Engineering or B.A. in Construction Management and/or a related field is preferred.

Qualifications:

Competent knowledge of basic phases of construction projects, (planning, estimating, costing and scheduling). Ability to analyze problems to determine source of discrepancy, ability to coordinate multiple assignments, schedules and deadlines and proof materials for accuracy and detail. Competent ability to present information in a clear and understandable manner in both written and verbal form. Competent ability to effectively schedule time, prioritize tasks and deadlines, and work with others in a team environment, exercising effective interpersonal skills. Competent ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrates ability to accept and receive constructive criticism. Competent ability to perform all work in a timely, professional and efficient manner while effectively communicating and interacting with customers, clients, subcontractors, vendors and other third parties.

Required Travel:

Ball Team focuses on projects in Iowa, but does work with clients that require travel outside of the Des Moines metro area and even in to surrounding states at times.  Depending on the location of the project that this position leads, it may require travel to provide the attention required for a successful project.
