Job Description:

We are currently seeking a committed, full-time Project Engineer to join our collaborative team and assist on projects throughout Iowa. This position reviews design and bidding documents, evaluates contractor bids, and oversees construction progress including scheduling and budget allocations. Additionally, the Project Engineer provides technical support to construction staff under the supervision of the Project Manager. Projects range in size from $5M to $25M+ and are typically in the municipal, K-12 and commercial markets.

Required Experience:

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, while also collaborating and reporting to a project supervisor. It is expected that a majority of work will occur during normal business hours, with pre-arranged occurrences of before or after hours responsibilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline.

• At least (2) two internships or years of experience in construction management, engineering, or relevant field.

Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal & written communication skills.

• Excellent budgeting & cost containment skills.

• Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail.

• Excellent time management skills with an ability to meet deadlines.

• Basic understanding of ISO 9000 design requirements.

• Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook. Experience with ProCore, Bluebeam and

• MS Project a plus.

• Leadership skills, experience in team and project leadership.

• Analytically and mathematically minded.

• Ability to perform well under tight timelines & excellent decision-making quality under pressure is desired.
