Job Description:

Objective

BIM Designer uses hardware and software technology to provide support from preconstruction to final completion of a project. This group maintains all documents to ensure that the project is completed effectively within cost, schedule, and quality parameters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·         Ability to take a project from start to finish

·         Design mechanical systems

·         Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications

·         Oversee and prepare all coordination and fabrication drawings for a project

·         Communicate and interface with people throughout the company internally and externally (architect, engineers, general contractor, trade subcontractors, etc.) in an effective and professional manner to coordinate project deliverables

·         Coordinated Installation Drawings

·         Spool & Fabrication Drawings

·         Total Station Point Exports

·         Hanger Drawings

·         Wall & Sleeve Penetration Drawings

·         Bill of Materials

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

·         Working knowledge of Basic AutoCAD

·         Autodesk Fabrication CADMep, Navisworks Manage, and Revit are a plus

·         Strong written and oral communication skills

·         Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities

·         Ability to manage multiple tasks to meet project deadlines

·         Attention to detail and accuracy

Work Environment Considerations

·         Must be able to work in high pressure situations facing strict deadlines

·         Most time will be in the office, but some trips to job sites and customer locations are required

·         Must be familiar with job site safety requirements and be prepared to wear a hard hat, work boots and safety glasses at potentially dangerous job sites

Qualifications and Education Requirements

·         Piping and Plumbing trade experience is preferred

·         Associates Degree in Drafting Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent is a plus
