Principal Objective of Position:

The Field Foreman is the front-line management position for the Company. They are responsible for the overall coordination and implementation of field activities on their assigned project. They are the on-site representative to the owner (or their designated on-site representative), subcontractors and suppliers. They are expected to represent the Company to our employees with respect to their productivity, skill development, health and welfare and policy enforcement.

Essential Functions:

•Supervising and coordinating the work of the Company employees in all crafts, in crews greater than 3 employees

•Planning, scheduling, and communicating day to day construction activities to their assigned crew and ensure that employees under their direct supervision perform their job skillfully, efficiently, and safely

•Advising crew on safety guidelines and company policies and procedures

•Performing craft specific or general labor tasks as necessary

•Arranging for placement of material and equipment delivery at the jobsite

•Recommending employment actions, evaluating performance, and providing work direction for assigned crew

•Resolving employee disputes, fostering teamwork, demonstrating craft specific skills to employees

•In the absence of or at the direction of the project supervisor, tracking and reporting employee time; maintaining accurate daily logs, field reports and purchase receipts and timely submittal of same

Other Functions:

•Promote and maintain a culture that values professionalism, honesty, safety, and cleanliness.

•Participate in training and other forms of continuous improvement initiatives.

Education:

•High School Diploma or equivalent

•30 Hour OSHA Training preferred

Experience:

•5 to 8 years of prior experience in the construction field, including at least one year in a supervisory position is preferred.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Standard hours of work are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Hours of Work may fluctuate depending on the needs of the projects. Some overtime may be required.

Travel

Travel to job sites may be required. Job site locations are variable.

•Above average knowledge in his/her craft and the same basic aptitude as those working in other crafts supervised
