Job Description:

Calling all model makers! RDG Planning & Design is seeking a talented BIM Coordinator who can provide coordination throughout design and construction phases. The BIM Coordinator interfaces between design teams and consultants throughout the entire life cycle of a project and assist with implementation of RDG’s BIM Project Execution Plans. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, seeks out and resolves issues through close interaction with other project team members, offers hands-on training and explore areas for innovative project delivery.

Essential Job Functions

• Produce and manage construction document models using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software such as Autodesk Revit
• Develop and manage BIM coordination schedules and strategies with project teams
• Coordinate RDG BIM standards to maintain uniformity across projects

Location: Des Moines or Omaha

• Assist with RDG BIM Execution and Implementation plans for multiple projects
• Proactively manage clash detection and visual walkthroughs to resolve conflicts
• Review and ensure BIM models meet contractual, company, and client standards
• Create, maintain, and conduct one on one and group training in Revit and Civil 3D for RDG staff
• Maintain awareness of industry BIM trends and technologies

Required Experience:

• Two-year technical degree in architecture or related field
• Three or more years of professional experience using recent versions of Revit focused on family creation, LOD, model standards, and document health
• One or more years of professional experience using recent versions of Navisworks, BIM 360, and Dynamo
• One or more years of professional experience coordinating with MEP, Structural and Civil consultants in Revit
• Experience with visual scripting, programming, and computational design is preferred

Qualifications:

• Advanced skill using Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, and Bluebeam
• Adept at learning new software, processes and approaches
• Read and understand design and contract documents
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Innovate; finding new opportunities to advance BIM practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills using strong personal management and organizational skills to Adapt quickly
