Job Description:

Role Definition 

Keen Project Solutions is seeking a Scheduler to work on industrial construction projects across the region. The Scheduler will assist project teams in developing, tracking, and updating schedules from inception to completion of the project. The Scheduler will also work to enhance project control efforts and the overall business flow.  

PROTECT PEOPLE 

  • Perform cash flow projections/analysis on a monthly basis. 

  • Analyze delivery impacts, time extensions, claims, etc. through the use of schedule fragnets.  

  • Forecast impacts of variances to aid in the management of the schedule. 

  • Participating in project risk reviews, performing schedule qualitative and quantitative analysis, and developing/maintaining/monitoring risk register. 

  • Identifying scheduling issues, capturing impacts and delays to schedules and recommend mitigation/recovery schedules. 

  • Developing potential recovery plans for time and cost. 

BUILD RELATIONSHIPS  

  • Communicate effectively with field members, project teams, and the customer to ensure efficient and accurate schedule development and updates. 

  • Collaborate with project teams in schedule reviews, claims analysis, etc. 

  • Meet with subcontractors as required in the development of baseline schedules, monthly updates, and recovery schedules.  

FOCUS ON END GOALS   

  • Build and manage resource and cost loaded schedules. 

  • Perform manpower projections/analysis. 

  • Monitor and status schedule progress. 

  • Attending meetings and advising clients of construction progress and any related cost implications. 

  • Utilize the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Principles and experience to develop Work Breakdown Structures and work with project teams to facilitate the development of the project schedule.  

DRIVE INNOVATION  

  • Train/Lead classes and facilitate learning of the scheduling systems amongst the project teams.  

  • Utilize Microsoft Project and/or P6 scheduling software to update and document schedule performance.  

  • Ability to use the cost-loaded schedule as the basis of billings.  

  • Use EVMS to evaluate the performance of the project by analyzing significant schedule, budget and/or resource variances from the baseline plan.  

  • Run schedule validations and curves using industry software like Schedule Validator and Project Tracker. 

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 5+ Years of construction scheduling experience 

  • Valid and unrestricted drivers license required  

  • Proficiency in developing, resource loading, analyzing and reporting on project schedules 

  • Microsoft Project and P6 scheduling experience 

  • Understanding of Earned Value Management System principles and applications 

  • Experience in industrial construction projects 

  • General knowledge of construction means and methods 

  • Good organization and communication skills 

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering required or equivalent years of experience in Scheduling 

  • Travel to jobsites periodically is required 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds  

  • Normal office environment, but may be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold)  

  • Frequent activity: Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen  

  • Occasional activity: Standing, Walking, Bending, Climbing, Reaching above Shoulder, Pushing, Pulling
