Job Duties:

  • Prepare and provide bids to clients.
  • Prepare contracts, subcontracts and bonds for projects.
  • Reads project contracts, specifications, plans and other relevant documentation associated with the project.
  • Order approved construction drawings for final review and construction.
  • Request and Review shop drawings for each project.
  • Order materials for each project.
  • Prepare Foreman’s packet for the start of each project.
  • Prepare Project schedules for all site contractors, provided to the client.
  • Correspond regularly with Cities, Engineers, Clients, Contractors, Subcontractors and Suppliers regarding project details and schedules.
  • Regularly attend Project meetings regarding value engineering, project issues/review and schedules.
  • Manages projects and makes recommendations to the office team to improve methods, outcomes, safety and costs.
  • Routinely inspects projects to determine correct sequencing of work and survey for potential hazards or safety concerns. Inspects work in progress to ensure workmanship meets or exceeds project specifications and company standards.
  • Review project costs, production and schedules. Makes adjustments where marginal production and cost overruns occur.
  • Assist Foreman in tracking the job hours. Review weekly reported time.
  • Coordinate Material and Equipment for the Field Staff throughout the project until project completion.
  • Keep record of any project changes; change orders, material changes, meeting notes, etc.
  • Provide leadership/guidance to the Field Staff.
  • Manage Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance.
  • Work closely with the Safety Manager to address any safety, OSHA compliance, handbook, or accident-related issues.
  • Prepare pay applications for project invoicing.
  • Prepare Change Order project invoices and submit to accounting.
  • Analyze estimated costs for materials, subcontractors and production.
  • Manage project documents SWPPP Certifications, Contractors Certifications, Cost Declarations.
  • Maintain good relations with contractors/vendors, clients, and employees.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Experience and Physical Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Site Utility Construction Industry.
  • Ability to analyze construction drawings, site plans, plats etc.
  • Ability to analyze SUDAS, SUDAS supplements, City Specifications, ASTM codes, etc.
  • Ability to add, subtract, divide, multiply, determine percentages, determine cubic feet, cubit yards, tonnage, (volume)square feet, square yards.
  • Familiar with business operations at a fundamental level.
  • Work environment conditions will consist of working in the sun, heat, cold, and water where the conditions could be dirty or dusty, as well as, working indoors
  • Employee must be able to sit in the same position for up to 8 hours a day when working indoors/traveling to job sites. At the job sites, employee must be able to:
  • Have ability to crawl in and out of excavations, climb up and down a ladder, operate company equipment
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, push, pull, and sit
  • The ability to frequently lift 20 to 100lbs or more
  • A valid drivers' license and driving record acceptable to our insurance company is required
  • Must pass physical examination and drug test
